Artificial Intelligence in Aging

Artificial Intelligence in Aging

Artificial intelligence – it’s not new and it’s here to stay. In recent years, with artificial intelligence or AI applications like Siri, Alexa, and ChatGPT making the news, the role of artificial intelligence in everyday life has become a topic of deep discussion and debate – whether that be in education, the arts, or healthcare.

Hosts Drs. Allison Sekuler and Rosanne Aleong chat with guests Dr. Muhammad Mamdani and Dor Skuler about the basics of AI, how it is being applied to the health of Canadians, and what opportunities are available in the aging space.

Dr. Allison Sekuler: “One of the things that stood out for me was how wide-ranging AI is. People will learn a lot in this episode, but it’s really about how AI is being infused into almost every element of our lives.”

Dr. Rosanne Aleong: “An innovator joins this episode all the way from Israel, and he is very honest about what AI is, and what it isn’t. He said that it is an assistive device and that it is not pretending to be a human. Rather, it’s a sidekick.”
