The Centre for Aging + Brain Health Innovation (CABHI) Launches New Funding Opportunity for Solutions Developed by Frontline Healthcare Workers

Toronto, ON – November 24, 2020– CABHI is now accepting applications for Spark-ON, a unique funding opportunity for Ontario-based frontline healthcare workers, clinical managers, clinical researchers, and/or senior-focused organizations with great ideas for solutions that could benefit the lives of older adults, persons with dementia, and their care partners.

Solutions should address one or more of these four critical priorities amplified by the COVID-19 pandemic:

  • Social connectedness
  • Caregiver wellbeing
  • Infection prevention and control
  • Training unregulated care providers

Successful applicants will receive up to $50,000 to develop, test, and/or scale their solution, as well as coaching and mentorship by CABHI’s network of experts over a 12-month period.

As the healthcare community continues to grapple with the impact of the pandemic, no one will be better positioned to meet the challenges of older adults than frontline healthcare workers themselves. Help improve the lives of older adults in long-term care and in the community, persons with dementia, and their care partners. Apply to Spark-ON and spread the word to frontline healthcare workers in your network.
